A recent data release shows that a total of 68 cases were mediated by Hong Kong mediators from Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People’s Court Court-Connected Mediation Center.
On May 28, 2016, the mediation center was established, which aims to provide professional services and help the court to deal with various disputes.
The center has hired 29 mediators who are Hong Kong residents. It believes by inviting Hong Kong professionals to work in the center it can provide more options for those who are in need.
By the end of May, 452 cases were filed to the center and 268 cases were successfully mediated.
