Recently Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone People’s Court successfully controlled deadbeat Qin at Luohu Checkpoint, who paid 500,000 yuan (US$78,000) after reaching enforcement reconciliation with the enforcement applicant.
The enforcement of the case involving Hong Kong party, Qin, the person subject to enforcement and who is a Hong Kong resident that doesn’t have a fixed residence in Chinese mainland or any property that can be enforced after investigation, once came to a stop.
The enforcement department of the Qianhai court later found out that Qin always crosses the border at Luohu Checkpoint. After analyzing the entry and exit data, they found out his travel habit and sent an assistance request to the border control department.
In 2017, Qianhai court accepted a total of over 2000 enforcement cases, 15 percent of which involved parties from Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan who were subject to enforcement. To solve the tough issue of difficult enforcement, Qianhai court innovated its enforcement and cooperated with different departments including the border control department.
Since October, Qianhai courts joined hands with customs and exit and entry department, successfully restricting the exit of over 80 person times, imposing judicial custody on five people, successfully closing over 50 enforcement cases involving Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan parties, involving a total of nearly 20 million yuan.
